About RoamReady
RoamReady is an independent comparison site for travel eSIMs. We exist because the niche drowned: search any "best eSIM for [country]" query and you get near-identical listicles, ranked by commission, padded with VPN-pitch paragraphs, quoting prices that expired two updates ago. Travelers responded by adding "reddit" to their searches. We'd rather earn the click back with transparency than fight for it with louder headlines.
What we actually do
- Criteria-based comparisons. We never claim to have speed-tested anything. We compare plans on checkable terms — price per GB on a fixed basket, caps and throttle policies, tethering rules, refund windows — and we link the provider page where each fact came from.
- Verification at the source. Every provider fact on this site was checked against the provider's own store or help pages during our October 2026 verification pass. Anything we couldn't verify there, we dropped instead of paraphrasing someone else's blog.
- Dated everything. Each article carries a "Last verified" line. eSIM prices churn weekly, so we publish floors and ranges rather than precise figures that pretend to be stable.
- The anti-pitch. We maintain a guide about when you should not buy an eSIM — short trips, free-roaming zones, incompatible phones — because a comparison site that always says "buy" is a sales page, not a comparison site.
Editorial independence
RoamReady earns affiliate commissions when readers buy through some of our links, and display-ad revenue from the site itself. Those relationships are listed in full on our methodology page. Two rules keep them from bending the editorial line:
- Rankings follow criteria, never payouts. The comparison criteria are fixed before we look at what any program pays, and guides include providers we have no financial relationship with whenever they're relevant to the question.
- Every commercial link is labeled. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored and disclosed where they appear. No paid placements, no "review units", no provider has ever seen an article before publication.
RoamReady is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Airalo, Saily, Nomad, Holafly, Sim Local, Ubigi, Mobal, or any network operator. All trademarks belong to their owners.
Corrections
Providers change prices, caps, and policies constantly, and we will fall behind sometimes. If an article contradicts what you're seeing on a provider's site, send us the link — verified corrections are published with a new verification date, and material corrections are noted rather than silently edited.
